Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MOFALD) and Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City in coordination with CWISH and with support of UNICEF organized three days training on ‘Case Management’ at Nepalgunj from 13th to 15th October 2017. With the aim of enhancing the capacity of government agencies and NGOs to establish child labor free municipality, the training has been organized. Twenty-four participants from five municipalities of Province number 6 and 7 are participating in the training. The program is being facilitated by child rights experts Mr. Chandrika Khatiwada, Mr. Uddhav Raj Poudyal, Mr. Krishna Subedi nd Mr. Yubaraj Ghimire. Deputy Mayor Uma Thapa Magar Chaired the opening of the training. She focused on the need of collecting data of children so that plan and activities can be conducted on the need basis through one door system. She further stressed on capacitating human resources and hence urged specialized forums to provide support to Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City. She stressed on the need of working for the children as they are the future of tomorrow.
During the training, participants will discuss on child protection, case management and its steps, situation of child labour in municipalities, case assessment, identification of vulnerable children, case mapping and case referral system, rescue of child labour, process of case management, planning of case support, implementation and analysis, closing of case management process and planning of case management of child labour.
