Semiannual review, planning and capacity building workshop was held on 13th July, 2018 at Alfa house, Kathmandu. The program started with welcoming the participants and the executive board members of CWISH. After introduction of the participants, the program formally started with donor status by former team leader, Mr. Krishna Prasad Subedi. He explained the list of project that has been applied in 2017 and 2018 till date along with the accepted, rejected and yet to be finalized projects. He mainly focused on the time consuming process while dealing with the donor along with sharing of some of his own experiences. He also stressed upon the importance of proposal development for the upcoming days. After that, Mr. Pramod Acharya presented on the semiannual status of admin and finance. He explained individual project status along with explanation if the budget deviates the plan.
After the financial status, individual project review was done by the focal person of each project. Each focal person presented on the objectives, outcomes, activities completed, challenges, opportunities, upcoming plans and recommendation of their respective projects. Along with the discussion and feedbacks provided, the project review came to an end. Then, the program moved towards planning for the way forward for the remaining months of the year. Executive Director, Mr. Raju Thapa facilitated the session with the plan for organizational development. After discussing on the plan, Mr. Subedi facilitated the session on “Team Work”. He explained the meaning as well as the importance of team work in an extraordinary way which everyone appreciated whole heartedly. Towards the end of the program, Mr. Thapa again took the session on “Citation and Reference” as a part of capacity building training for all the CWISH staffs.
At last, the formal program ended with some vote of thanks by Mr. Thapa and Ms. Bimala Gyawali, Chairperson of Executive Board member of CWISH. Then the day finally ended with farewell program of former Thematic Coordinator, Mr. Yubaraj ghimire, former Team Leader, Mr. Krishna Prasad Subedi and former staff, Ms. Roopa Silwal.
