20th Annual General Assembly of CWISH Nepal & Interaction on Child protection Issues & Roles of Civil Society

The 20th Annual General Meet for Children - Women in Social Service and Human Rights (CWISH) was held on Sunday, 10 September 2017 at the Alfa House, Kathmandu. The AGM was chaired by CWISH Chairperson Ms Bimala Jnawali. The event was participatory inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Chief Guest Honorable State Minister Mr Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, followed by board member of CWISH.

In the program, Honorable State Minister Hon. Dilli Chaudhary - Ministry of Labour and Employment, expressed his happiness and thankfulness for inviting as a chief guest in the AGM and further wished the success of the program and expressed his concern of child labor can be foreshorten effectively by smooth co-ordination in between affiliated civil society association the government. He emphasized to accomplish this feat with creative & interactive programs bought by the civil society organization. He expressed his best wishes to organization as well as every staff and member of the organization for better development of the organization. In the event, Executive Director, Central Child Welfare Committee, Tarak Dhital expressed the concern that the programs should be carried out with the option of redemption and rehabilitation of children who are vulnerable to child endangerment.

Addressing the session of the AGM, Team Leader of CWISH, Mr Krishna Subedi presented the information about the concepts, causes and present conditions of childhood, such as child custody where as Program Manager of CWISH, Mr Shree Ram Bajgain presented a brief overview on the organization annual activities concluded for the fiscal year 2073/74. He also shared the forthcoming action of CWISH and highlighted on the diverse approach of CWISH for 2018.

The session then further awarded 7 of the best staffs for the excellent services bestowed towards the organisation throughout their working tenure and acknowledged their loyal dedication as Human Rights Defender.

After the end of the interaction session, the general meeting was concluded in the presence of founder of the organization, Ms. Shanti Officer, as well as officials and ordinary members of the Working Committee. The AGM has further reviewed its program activities and put forward the valuable suggestions and feedbacks. The financial annual reports for the fiscal year 2073/74 presented by the Treasures was passed by the house. Similarly, the general assembly appointed the auditor 2074/74 and the meeting passed the estimated budget and program for upcoming coming visit
