Aiming to reduce human trafficking and gender based violence and to achieve the better preparedness by communicating for disaster risk reduction and ensure the safe migration, CWISH together with AATWIN has been implementing the project entitled, " Communication and Social mobilisation for promoting recovery & resilience among earthquake affected communities" in nine VDCs (Jharlang, Gumdi, Darkha, Satyadevi, Maidi, Reegaun, Jogimara, Dhusa, Gajuri) of Dhading district since April, 2016 to December, 2017. CWISH has mobilized community-based organizations and young people of intervention areas by providing them knowledge on disaster preparedness and issues that affect children and young people following disasters like human trafficking, gender-based violence and unsafe migration. Initially the young people together with the project outreach workers prepared for the community mobilization to empower the youths and their groups. Afterwards, they became able to identify potential local hazards in their communities and negotiate with existing community organizations to prepare ward level and community action plan. CWISH has mobilized the media and tools like forum theatre to promote the behavior change communication in the local level. This project has been funded by UNICEF.
